Some little reminders of Hillary will be with me for the rest of my life.
I wrote a few days ago about throwing out a bunch of tampons and pads and feeling like I had been very productive.
A few days after that, I was putting something away and found what I can only surmise was Hillary's main stash. The other areas I was aware of were places for immediate or emergency use. This was the staging area to ensure all other areas remained stocked.
Given it's location, I believe that this had been the storage area for years. I had no idea. I would buy these at Hillary's request, deliver them to her and she would put them away.
Anyway, I filled a grocery bag from that stash.
Now, in hindsight I wonder if that also was a mistake. I have to imagine that it's only polite to always have a few on hand in case a guest needs them unexpectedly. There is, I suspect, a whole etiquette about it that I need to learn so I can pass it on to the kids.
Hm. I think I'll stop there.
This has the potential to tangent deeply into the philosophy Hillary and I shared about teaching gender, relationship, and sex stuff to the kids. That's worth a post or three on that topic alone. Let's just say I'm now very grateful, and have been for many years now, that my first serious relationship was with a person who taught me much about feminism.
